Farewell to David Brocklesby

Celebrating 43 Years of Dedication!

In July we said a heartfelt thank you and farewell to David Brocklesby, who is retiring after an incredible 43 years with Bennetts Timber, having started as a nipper back in July 1982 as an office junior at the Charlton Street site in Grimsby (see below photos). When he joined calculators were a rarity and most in the office were still using adding machines, everything was done in longhand and in triplicate! How times have changed!

Dave has brought a wealth of knowledge and experience to the business and his dedication, expertise and friendly nature have made a lasting impact on both the team and our customers. He will be greatly missed by everyone here.

At Bennetts Timber, we are proud to be a business built on strong family values and Dave’s long-standing service is a true reflection of that. Many of our team members have been with us for decades and it is this commitment that ensures our customers receive the best possible service every time they do business with us.
