Work Starts on New Drying Shed
As a result of existing shed space reaching capacity due to increased floor area required for the production and manufacture of our timber cladding products, the decision was taken to invest in a new building to store our higher value joinery timber and cladding.
Following receipt of planning permission gound work started today by the main contractor, Rick Howell Structural Steel. The new building will comprise a steel portal framed 18m x 12m shed with yorkshire boarding to two sides which will allow timber to be stored undercover with a continuous air-flow through to allow drying. This will ensure that our joinery and other products are kept to the highest standard.
The building will be known as Tim's Shed after Tim Bennett who was Managing Director of the firm for 36 years between 1969 and 2005.
Further updates will be added as the shed takes shape.
