We have just completed a major repair scheme on our Grimsby warehouse roof.
Over the last few weeks we have completely re-roofed our warehouse at Grimsby. The original roof was over 40 years old and had failed in a number of places letting in water whenever it rained. Having consulted with local contractor, Rase Steels of Market Rasen, we agreed that the existing steel deck would remain and the overlain felt on top of 38mm mdf material would be removed, this was a big task and involved the removal of 90 tomes of material. An Ashgrid system was then put down and following insertion of rock wool insulation a new steel profile plastisol coated sheet system installed on top. At the same time the pitch on the roof was increased from about 1% to around 8%.
The project was carried out whilst our site continued to operate during one of the busiest times of year which was possible due to close liaison with the team from Rase Steels.
Great result and we now have a dry warehouse!
