Timber Price Rises
Timber prices are increasing again.
Following a round of price rises earlier in the year, many of our suppliers are now indicating that they will be increasing their prices from 1st July 2017. The main reason for this is the continuing low value of the pound against the major currencies including the Euro and US Dollar. This will mean increased prices of many softwood products including:-
- Machined softwoods, PSE, floorboards, skirtings, architraves, matching and shiplap.
- Treated timbers for external work.
- Graded timbers for construction work.
MDF prices are also rising by about 8% and the panel products are being hit too, particularly OSB board where raw material prices are rising fast and supply is short.
Take advantage of the current lower prices by ordering your timber before the increases come in at the beginning of July. Call us on 01472 350151 for a competitive quote.
